‘The Art of Tea SS16’ - Fashion Foundation Diploma, Final Major Project.

 

The Art of Tea is a journey exploring the ceremony of drinking tea; discovering the depth, beauty and stillness we are capable of bringing to everyday life. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese Tea Ceremony and oriental ceramics, the collection embodies harmony and fragility through cut out symmetry, organic materials and ceramic prints. Shoes for the woman who walks the path of soulful evolution.

I worked solely by hand for all elements of this project. My final illustrations were done with a mix of Copic pens and acrylic paints. I made the final prototypes completely out of card paper glued together and hand-painted in acrylic paint. The final images, shot and edited by myself are set in the small Japanese waterfall in Regents Park.
